School is so close to being out!! Summer is almost here! Naturally, all my family wants to do is swim and splash around. It’s pretty much all you can do on certain days of the summer in Texas. Driving anywhere becomes a chore, running errands is damn near unbearable, but we Austinites sure do love the sunshine so staying in is not always an option.
To help you in your quest for the best pool and/or splash pad in the area we have made a list of everything that is offered, and then I would like to request some feedback on what YOU think is best! I need pictures and details, so please post your findings, via our Facebook page (Like us, yeah?), and we’ll make a list of the top 5!

First of all, prices:
These fees apply to ALL city municipal pools, even Barton Springs.
Free for children under 1 year
$1 for Seniors (62+) and children (1-11)
$2 for juniors (12-17)
$3 for adults (18-62)
Whatta deal!
There are also these things called passes which will save you 20 percent! Here’s how they work:
An 80-punch card is $32
Children under 1 = 0 punches
Children = 2 punches
Seniors = 2 punches
Juniors = 4 punches
Adults = 6 punches
They also have season swim passes which are valid from 3/10 – 10/31 of 2012 and also include a parking pass for Zilker Park:
Children = $60
Junior = $120
Adult = $180
Senior = $60
Family 4-pack = $350

All splash pads run from 9 am – 8 pm, except for the Chestnut Splash Pad, which is open from 11 am – 8 pm. Oh, and they are free!
