It’s time to SCREAM – for ice cream!
Entry is free to kids 8 and under and the $10 admission for adults buys your way in and 3 tickets a person which can be redeemed for ice cream. And as if that weren’t enough to get you there, the full day of activities will include games, activities, contests and live entertainment. Gone may be the days when the ice cream trucks roamed free, trailing behind them scores of kids clamoring for a cold and tasty treat. But that doesn’t mean our ice cream love time has diminished at all, and it’s time to pay homage to that summer ritual. What’s more, the entry fees will help raise money for local charities.
Feel free to bring folding chairs, blankets, cameras, and pets on a leash. Don’t bring outside food and drink (because why would you need to?) unless it’s for the very littles. Enter the ice cream making contest, ice cream eating contest, or build mansions out of popsicle sticks. Kids can also bounce off some of that sugar in the bounce houses, ride the Kiddie Express tain and explore the Austin Ice Cream Festival truck. Then you can all sit back, relax and take in some entertainment. Here’s a rundown of activities and performances:
- 10:30 am – Paul Renna
- 12 pm – Tiarra Girls
- 1:30 pm – Zoe Ann
- 2:45 pm – Ice Cream Making Winner Announced
- 3 pm – Panjoma
