It’s never too early to train your kiddos to be nerds – you know, the cool kind who are into retro toys and cult comics and films. Get ’em started with full immersion on Saturday, December 7 at the Austin Comic and Toy Show at the Norris Conference Center from 9 am – 5 pm.
Dress up the whole family as your favorite comic book/movie characters and head out for some serious fun. The show will feature something for everyone – a chance for you to get all nostalgic and for the kids to check out retro-cool and modern toys, meet stars from cult classics like Machete Kills and 1974’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre, act out their fantasies through cosplay and enter a costume contest.
Here’s a rundown of what’ll be going on throughout the day:
- Cosplay and costume contest
- Artist tables and live drawings
- Star Wars parade and toy drive for Brown Santa
- Photo opps with the Austin Batmobile
- Meet stars from cult classics 1974’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre –Terri McMinn “Pam”; Ed Guinn “Cattle Truck Driver” and Machete Kills – Joe Lozano “Frontline Cartel Member”
