If the slogan “Keep Austin Weird” had its own festival, Eeyore’s Birthday would be it. Get weird at Pease Park on Saturday, Apr. 26 from 11 am until dark, the children’s area will be open from 11 am – 4 pm and live music from noon – 6 pm. Admission is FREE! Dress code will be Austin-formal: tutus, bikinis, fairy wings and flip flops. Costumes are encouraged and there will be a contest. Props: hula hoops, bubbles and flower garlands.

If you were born and raised in Austin, Eeyore’s is probably one of your earliest memories. Eeyore’s Birthday is a rite of passage, a bit like a sunburn from the Kerrville Folk Festival or the first gasp for breath at Barton Springs.
