pinocchioWith the end of the school year nearing and temperatures rising, it is time for parents and little ones alike to get imaginative. What better way than by taking them to an air conditioned theater for a play that uses puppetry, shadow and illusion?

ZACH Theatre presents the ageless classic Pinocchio. Meet Geppetto, a simple carpenter, who dreams of having a son, and Pinocchio, his puppet, who dreams of being a boy. Share in their adventures as Geppetto is swallowed by a whale, then cheer for Pinocchio as he searches for the courage to save him. It’s a wonderful lesson in honesty for those whose noses don’t grow every time they tell a fib, and a lovely tale of what it means to be a family.

Get your real little girls and boys to ZACH Theatre for their imaginative re-telling of Pinocchio premiering Friday, Apr. 18 at 6:30 pm. Tickets are selling out fast, so make sure you get a seat for Carlo Collodi’s classic story of love and courage adapted by Andrew Windler.

The show is suitable for kids ages 5 and up, and will run through May 24 at ZACH’s Whisenhunt Stage.

The schedule is:

Tickets are $16 for adults; $14 for youth and can be purchased here.
