Live music and movies under the stars – it’s the return of the FREE Sound & Cinema at the Long Center, starting this week with a showing of The Three Amigos and music by Crooks on Wednesday, June 18.
Do512 and the Alamo Drafthouse have teamed up for another season of Sound & Cinema. Throughout the summer, local bands will play on the lawn of the Long Center before a screening of a popular summer movie on a giant inflatable screen.
This week, the band Crooks will perform followed by a showing of the Three Amigos, starring Chevy Chase, Martin Short and Steve Martin. Food trucks will be on hand for food purchase, plus the Long Center will be serving craft beers and special cocktails. Bring a blanket or a chair and come early to find a place to camp out for the evening.
The schedule:
- 6 pm: food trucks open
- 7:30 pm: Crooks performs
- 8:30 pm (dusk): The Three Amigos!
Food trucks include Garbo’s Lobster Rolls, Frank hot dogs, Yeti Frozen Custard, Boomerang’s Meat Pies, The Peached Tortilla, Whole Foods and Uncle Louie G’s Italian Ice.
You are welcome to bring folding chairs, blankets, personal coolers (non-alcoholic beverages only) and sombreros! Do NOT bring alcohol or your pets.
