Every Thursday night this summer, you can visit the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center for Nature Nights. On Thursday, July 17, the theme will be Wildlife Tracking, where you can learn all about the animals that roam the Texas wilderness after dark.

Earth Native Wilderness School will be on hand to teach kids about animal tracking, animal paw prints, and to show off other animal artifacts. The Capitol Area Master Naturalists will show you how to make your own animal tracks and Austin Wildlife Rescue will explain what to do if you find an abandoned wild animal. Admission to the Wildflower Center is free on Nature Nights and kids under 12 receive a free gift in the Gift Store.

Nature Night starts at 5 pm. Get there early to receive your free ticket to the auditorium for the evening’s presentation. Free tickets will be handed out at the Admissions table to the first 250 people. The cafe and the gift store will be open until 8 pm.
