Have your kids ever wanted to go on a magic carpet ride? You can make this wish come true even without the help of Genie’s lamp! Head over to the Aladdin Skating Party at Chaparral Ice Center on Friday, Aug. 29 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. for character meet and greets, a costume contest, and yes, magic carpet rides!

Kids are invited to enter “A Whole New World” at this Arabian-themed night of skating. You can pose for photos with the Genie himself. And be sure to let the kiddos dress up as Prince Ali, Princess Jasmine, Jafar, Iago the parrot, or Abu the monkey for the costume contest. At 8 p.m. things will get even more magical when the lights turn low.

In loving memory of Robin Williams, who famously voiced Disney’s Genie, Chaparral Ice will donate $1 from every paid admission to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Admission and skate rental fees are $10 for ages 6 and up, $5 for ages 5 and under.

In addition, the Austin Blades Sled Hockey team will be on-hand with hot food, baked goods, and drinks for purchase.
