Please note: This article is from 2015. The Comedy Spartans are no longer showing at Austin’s Park N Pizza on Friday nights, but you can check them out at Pinballz Lake Creek on Saturday nights and be sure to check their website for a list of upcoming showtimes!

Do512 Family’s general manager, Jamie Jett, took her family to a performance. Here is what she thought…

The show is set up a lot like the familiar “Whose Line is it, Anyway?” and it’s 100 percent family-friendly. It is a difficult task to get all age groups laughing while steering clear from innuendos or inappropriate content for kids. Comedy Spartans nailed it. I saw everyone laughing – adults, to preschoolers, to tweens, teens and everyone in between.

Set up like a competition, Friday Night Live features two teams going head-to-head in a battle of improvising wits. Each team will play various theatre games and a referee is there to keep score and keep everyone up to speed. Whichever team gets the most laughs, wins.

My whole crew was very entertained. We all laughed out loud and had fun offering suggestions for the improv games. When it was over, we couldn’t believe an hour-and-a-half had passed! To top it all off, your ticket includes an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet AND for just $10 extra, you can upgrade your ticket to include unlimited attractions such as laser tag, the rock wall, moon golf, go karts, bumper cars and more! I highly recommend Friday Night Live as a family outing. It was affordable and included dinner, an awesome show, games and a lot of laughs! You can check it out every Friday night, doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
