We are so excited about the Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m., not only because it is one of our favorite annual events, but because we will also have a float in the parade this year! At this fun, family-focused parade that travels from the Texas State Capitol down Congress Ave., you’ll see GIANT character balloons, marching bands, vintage cars, dancers, choirs, costumed superheros & princesses, and lots of big smiles from kids of all ages.

The Chuy’s Parade provides such a wonderful opportunity for our own children to give back to the community and help other kids who could use their support around the holidays. Coming out to watch the parade is totally free, but each child is asked to bring an unwrapped, new toy to donate to the Operation Blue Santa Program, a non-profit organized by the Austin Police Department that provides families in need with a full holiday meal and Christmas gifts. At a designated time during the Parade Procession, all units will stop to collect the toys. All toys will later be distributed by Operation Blue Santa.

The Parade begins at 11 a.m. and is approximately one hour long. It starts at the State Capitol at 11th and Congress, and moves south on Congress all the way to Cesar Chavez, ending just north of the bridge. Click here for a parade map.

Please come out and wave to us! Our Do512 Family float will feature the band Kev Bev and the Woodland Creatures singing some cheerful songs along the parade route.
