Rookie camper? Last-minute planner? Want to take the kids to explore the great outdoors, but not sure where to start? The City of Round Rock’s Parks & Rec Department has the perfect event for you! You and the kids are invited to an easy peasy camping experience in the convenient location of Old Settler’s Park. Gather your family and friends for the Outdoor Family Campout on Friday September 23, starting at 4 p.m. On Saturday, September 24, you can stick around the park for a morning of fun activities that celebrate National Hunting & Fishing Day!
Get out and enjoy some family fun time! You’ll pop your tent around the Lakeview Pavilion, eat dinner provided by Hat Creek Burger Company, play games, sit around the campfire eating s’mores and then off to sleep under the stars. Wake up with the sunrise and enjoy breakfast, and then check out plenty of morning activities.
–> Registration Info: Advanced registration for the campout is required, which you can do online here (course code 655). Children ages 2 and under are free and do not need to register. The registration fee is $10 per person, and includes meals, activities, how-to sessions and more.
See the Family Campout Flyer & Infomation Sheet for complete details and what to bring.
