Bluebonnets look gorgeous right now, and we’re ready to grab the camera and take the kids to snap some family photos in these pretty fields of wildflowers. But where are the best places to go? We asked the experts at Hatched Photography for advice about finding the most picture-perfect bluebonnet settings, and they gave us some terrific suggestions below.

Best Places to Find Bluebonnets Around Austin (March 2016):

Other good locations include:

  • McKinney Falls State Park
  • Roy Guerrero Park (Metropolis Rd)
  • Park Hill Church (2222/Mopac)
  • Hwy 71
  • FM1431
  • Hwy 360
  • Quinlan Park Rd. in Steiner Ranch

Take note that due to the flooding last year, Brushy Creek Lake Park doesn’t have the large fields that it has had in years past. And Muleshoe Bend was named “Field of Dreams” in 2014, but water levels have risen back to normal and the fields are not the same as in last years.
