You can make an online appointment to reserve your time with the Easter Bunny at Barton Creek Square Mall or Lakeline Mall. (Forget about waiting in lines!) A $10 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your session, and this $10 will be put towards your purchase of a Bunny photo package during your visit with Bunny. When you arrive, you’ll simply show your appointment confirmation via print or mobile device to a cast member at the Bunny set.

— Community Easter Egg Hunt @ Huston-Tillotson University

Children of all ages are invited to hunt for the thousands of eggs hidden around the Huston-Tillotson University campus during the 11th Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at 900 Chicon Street. The Easter egg hunt features a $500 scholarship prize egg, prize eggs for school supplies and gift certificates, and eggs with candy and coins. Children will gather in the Mary E. Branch Gymnasium for a brief meaning of Easter story time before joining their age groups and beginning the hunt. The event is FREE and open to the public.

Children ages 12 and under are invited, with their parents, to bring their baskets and hunt for colorful, prize-filled Easter Eggs. A few select eggs will even have 100, 250, and 500 prize ticket amounts inside to cash in for the fun redemption prizes! Visit with the animals, bring a picnic and meet the Easter Bunny as he hops around the zoo. For ages 2-12 years old. Advance registration is required by calling 512-288-1490. Visitors will need to pay regular Zoo admission (no Groupon, Living Social, etc. vouchers will be accepted) and an additional $3 per child hunting. Austin Zoo Members can hunt for free! Please bring your own Easter baskets!

Kids can look for the EGG-STRA big egg with the Whole Foods Market logo on it hiding somewhere in the store then tell the Front Desk staff where it was for a prize. Parents, 3 small golden eggs will be hidden around the store with varying gift card prizes inside. If you find one, take it to Guest Services to claim your prize.

— 17th Annual Easter Pet Parade & Costume Contest @ Jo’s Coffee South Congress

Enjoy this annual event benefiting Austin Pets Alive! Dress your pet in high fashion, street fashion, no fashion … there are no rules! When it comes to this highly anticipated event – the weirder, the better. The parade starts at noon at Annie Street and South Congress and ends at Jo’s Coffee (1300 South Congress). For musical entertainment, the parade is to be led by the Dead Music Capital Band and guests can later enjoy live music from the Andrew Nafziger Trio. $20 to enter your pet. Free to attend!
