2016 SXSWedu Expo @ Austin Convention Center.
 Tuesday, March 8, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. 
This is a free event full of hands-on learning stations, interesting presentations and exhibitions, mentors, and even a talent showcase. This Expo is designed to encourage and inspire learners of all ages to identify and reach their education and career goals. This one-day event is free to attend, but registration is requested online here.

Amplify Austin Kids Fest
Wednesday, March 9, 3-6 p.m.
Give generously to the causes you care about during Amplify Austin. This special event at Mt. Playmore benefits Austin Diaper Bank. Meet Little Mermaid, build LEGOs with Snapology Austin, get manicures or tattoos with Passion Flower, dress up with Toybrary Austin, meet some awesome reptiles with Austin Reptile Shows, and more! Movies in the Park: The Sandlot @ Northwest District Park
Thursday, March 10, 7 p.m.
Austin Parks Foundation invites us to pack a picnic and bring the family out to for their series of free movie nights! Movies in the Park kicks off with The Sandlot. A new kid in town is taken under the wing of a young baseball prodigy and his team. Together, they get themselves into many adventures involving rival teams, lifeguards, and a vicious dog. FREE! (Note, there is a rain date if needed: April 14)

Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls Party @ Banger’s Sausage House and Beer Garden
Friday, March 11 from 1 – 4:30 p.m. 
Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls is an organization dedicated to helping young people cultivate their authentic selves, and they emphasize intelligence & imagination over “fitting in.” Smart Girls is teaming up with Geek and Sundry, as well as Nerdist, to host two parties during SXSW Interactive. Friday’s line-up includes Dr. Kate Biberdorf presenting Fun with Chemistry at 1 p.m. and the Knights of Steel­ Steel Drum Band at 3:30 p.m. No wristband or RSVP required. Learn more.

SX Create @ Palmer Events Center
Friday, March 11, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Doing creative and revolutionary things with new technologies embodies the spirit of the SXSW Interactive Festival, and nowhere is this more evident than the diverse mix of activities at SX Create. This year, SX Create promises more fun and even more hands-on excitement. SX Create is free and open to the public (with a free Guest Pass) through Sunday, March 13.
