For the 9th year, kids around the country will be running their own lemonade stands as part of national Lemonade Day. Held on Saturday, May 7, you’ll find hundreds of young entrepreneurs in Austin participating at various stands around the city, selling their own special recipes of everyone’s favorite thirst quencher.

942575_10151592394199544_559859140_nA program of the Entrepreneurs Foundation, Lemonade Day Austin is a great way for children to learn about running a business. It’s a free, fun, experiential program that promotes entrepreneurship and empowers youth to become the business leaders, social advocates, and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow. It’s free to participate and register at austin.lemonadeday.org. Participants create everything from the stand itself to the brand, price and recipe, giving Austin-area youth the opportunity to develop critical thinking, creative problem solving and collaboration skills.
