Monday, June 6, 9 a.m. – noon
Bring the little ones (ages 0-3) to the Thinkery for this week’s celebration of the colorful world of Frida Kahlo. Create beautiful Mexican flowers, weave with bright fabrics and use your senses in our Kahlo inspired sensory bins. At 10 a.m. Mrs. Purple Urple will entertain the kids. At 10:30 a.m., Armstrong Community Music School will be there for favorite sing-a-long time. And we’ll be joining in on the fun and providing free healthy snacks. $2.50 for members & $4.50 for non-members.

Trailer Food Tuesdays @ The Long Center
Tuesday, June 7, 5-9 p.m.
Trailer Food Tuesdays is back for its fifth year with some Austin classics like The Peached Tortilla, Dock & Roll Diner and Chi’Lantro, alongside newcomers like Mission Dogs and Rosarito. You can kick back and listen to live music from Star Parks while relaxing on a blanket or chair on the lawn or sitting on the provided tables on the terrace in a family-friendly environment.

Wednesday, June 8, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
This annual summer music series kicks off today with music from Sara Hickman and Family Time Rocks! Bring the kids for only 50 cents admission. Gates open at 9 a.m.

Nature Nights @ The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
Thursday, June 9, 6-9 p.m.
Enjoy free admission from 6-9 p.m. along with hikes, nature crafts for kids of all ages and special presentations. Nature Nights provide a fun way to explore Texas plants & animals in such a beautiful setting. This week’s theme is Harnessing Fire.

Friday, June 10 & Saturday, June 11, 8 p.m.
The Austin Civic Orchestra presents their ever-popular two-night concert in Zilker Park. This year’s theme is Oscar Winners, featuring music from scores which have won an Academy Award. Relax in the summer night and listen to songs from films such as Frozen, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Wizard of Oz and more.
