Get ready for a magical afternoon of free family entertainment at The Vortex on Saturday, September 24, from 3-7 p.m. “Magic in the Garden”, sponsored by the Society of American Magicians Assembly 206, is a family festival with about a dozen different magicians performing, strolling entertainers, balloon twisting and sample classes from Fantastic Magic Camp.
Master of Ceremonies for the stage shows will be Felonious the Fool (Kent Cummins). There will be 4 stage shows, with the following schedule:
- 3:30 pm – Mad Man Maverick
- 4:30 pm – Bonzo Crunch, Fool at Large
- 5:30 pm – Black Bert
- 6:30 pm – Peter the Adequate
Cranius Astounding will be close the show and spotlight the following strolling entertainers:
- JD Stewart MD (Magic Dude), Roger Gorss, Shelby Parsons, Cayden Stapp, Robert Castillo, and the Blue Saint.
- Aaron Parker Fasel will be twisting balloons.
Fantastic Magic Camp will also be onsite with a magic shop and free magic classes.
This is one of several events designed by SAM Assembly 206 to promote magic in the Austin community. Admission is free, and the first 100 kids through the gate get a free Magic Goodie Bag!
