The Mermaid Capital of Texas Fest is an annual city-wide, multi-event festival, celebrating the city’s cultural heritage and precious resource, the San Marcos River. The all-inclusive events give a nod to the history of the Aquamaids of Aquarena Springs and celebrate the mermaid as guardian of the San Marcos River.
