Get ready to show off your pumpkin-carving skills! The UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum’s annual fall event — The Last Straw Fest — will take place on Sunday, October 23 from noon – 5 p.m. where you can join in on tons of free family fun, including their famous pumpkin carving competition, as well as games, crafts, yoga, music and more.

Throughout the afternoon, you’ll be able to enjoy fall family activities such as storytelling, yoga, face painting, crafts, games and balloon art demos.

–> Kids Pumpkin Carving Contest,  12 – 3 p.m.
Carve a Pumpkin with Professor Pumpkin and have your creations judged by We Are Austin TV Hosts Taylor Ellison and Jordan Steele. Judging takes place from 3-4 p.m. Pumpkins provided for free!

–> Kitten Adoption, 12 – 4 p.m.
Find a new fur-ever friend! The Austin Animal Center will be at the event with adoptable kittens.

–> Music from DJ Gatsby, 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Cut loose and do some moving and grooving with the kids.

–> Food Trucks & Concessions, 12 – 5 p.m.
Some of Austin’s popular food trucks and concessions will be on site to satisfy your appetite. You can purchase food and drinks from Wholly Cow Burgers, Elixir Coffee, Jim-Jim’s Water-Ice and Gold Star Kettle Corn.
