Get those mittens ready! The 2nd Annual Snow Day is coming up at the Hill Country Science Mill on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Johnson City. The museum’s outdoor Science & Art Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland with 20 tons of snow!

Special activities will include a live action ice sculpture, ice piano, snowball catapult launches, a mini snowman building contest, snowball radar throws and more. Scroll below to enter to win tickets!

Visitors are encouraged to bring mittens or gloves to keep their hands warm while playing in the snow. We’ll have twice as much snow as last year for twice the winter fun!

–> Tickets: You can avoid waiting in the admission line at the event by purchasing your tickets online in advance. Tickets are $8.50 for ages 3-18; $10 for adults, $8 for Seniors (65+) and Military. Members get in free. (Tickets will also be sold at the door.)

The museum, which includes 40+ hands-on exhibits and a 3D movie, Titans of the Ice Age, will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. You can learn all about the Hill Country Science Mill by visiting their website, but you can also take a peek at our review of the museum.
