Did you know… National Donut Day takes place on the first Friday of June each year and commemorates The Salvation Army volunteers who provided doughnuts to soldiers on the front lines on WWI.

Rise will be donating 100% of sales of their Chocolate Icing Donut to the Central Texas Food Bank on June 1. Rise is located at 2522 Guadalupe Street on near the UT Campus.

According to Gourdough’s Facebook page, they’re getting ready for an all day party at their location at 2700 South Lamar, and they are offering a secret menu exclusively for National Donut Day.
