On Saturday, August 8, you can join the community in celebrating one of Austin’s most beloved landmarks — Barton Springs! The Save Our Springs Alliance is hosting the 2nd Annual Barton Springs Fest starting at 8 a.m. This year’s event includes snorkel tours, hikes, live music and speakers. Festivities take place on the South Hill of Barton Springs pool and outside of the South Gate. These special events are all free, but you must still pay the regular entrance fees for the pool if you wish to go in and swim.
- 8-10 a.m.: The morning will start with a Three Spring Snorkel Tour at 8 a.m. Tours will take place at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Space is limited. If you want to sign up please email firstname.lastname@example.org and specify which time you prefer. Tours last about an hour.
- 4:30 – 9:30 p.m.: Food from the Watermelon Cafe, live music, speakers, and a film screening
- 9:30 p.m. – Midnight: An afterparty will be held at The ABGB with music from Guy Forsyth
