Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Get ready for a howling good time at the annual Boo at the Zoo where kids can show off their Halloween costumes while strolling through the Austin Zoo during evening hours. The Zoo will be illuminated and decorated for Halloween, and you can also take an eerie train ride, explore the haunted house, and see a frightfully fun animal show.

Boo at the Zoo is a special ticketed fundraising event that takes place on Fridays and Saturdays through October 28, 5:45 pm – 9 pm.  This is a family-friendly event where you can explore the grounds at your leisure while hearing the nighttime sounds of the Zoo’s nocturnal animals. Feel free to pack a picnic (no glass) and dine in the Picnic Grove, or visit the concession truck for a special treat.

The Haunted Train Ride at Boo at the Zoo is a spooky 10-minute ride through the hill country greenbelt of Austin Zoo, complete with Halloween-themed lights and décor. The Train has limited capacity and rides, but your admission ticket provides you with a reserved seat at your selected train time.

Tickets are $22 per person, and includes Boo at the Zoo entry, unlimited visits through the Haunted House (as the line allows), and a seat for a reserved train ride. Children under 2 are free and must ride the train in an adult’s lap. For more info and to reserve your tickets, please click here.
