Let’s hope for sunny, windy weather on Sunday, Apr. 12 when the Bee Cave Chamber of Commerce hosts the Mighty Kite Flight. Bring the kids to this free, community event in Bee Cave Central Park from noon – 3 p.m. You can enter one of many kite contests, enjoy music and food, browse vendors and more.

When you arrive on Sunday, you can register to enter a kite contest between noon and 12:30 p.m. The contest entry table will be located under the pavilion at the Park. Contest winners will be announced at 2:30 p.m, and prizes will be supplied from Learning Express Toys! Contest categories include:
- Best homemade kite
- Most creative kite
- Tiniest kite
- Largest kite
- Kite with the longest tail
- Best hometown kite (kite that represents Bee Cave)
- Prettiest kite
Admission is free, and there will be complimentary parking at The Backyard. Bring cash for food & retail vendors.
