Every spring, folks come from all over Texas for the annual Buda Wiener Dog Races! Check out all of all the family-friendly fun at this quirky canine celebration just south of Austin, on with two full days of activities. This year’s event takes place April 23 & 24 in Buda City Park.

This annual country fair begins with the cutest pet parade, followed by the nationally known Wiener Dog Races where the speediest dachshunds take to the track. This fundraiser for the Buda Lion’s Club includes a BBQ cook-off, live music, arts & crafts, games for the kids, and lots of entertainment. Admission & Parking: Admission is only $5 at the gate, and free for kids ages 12 & under.

To make getting to and from the park easiest, you can park at Cabela’s and take a free bus shuttle that will run from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Note that parking at the park will be very limited.
