Every spring, folks come from all over Texas for the annual Buda Wiener Dog Races at Buda City Park. You can pack up the kids and take a short drive south of Austin on Saturday, Apr. 28 and Sunday, Apr. 29 from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. to check out all the family-friendly fun at this quirky canine celebration.

This annual country fair begins with the cutest pet parade at 9 a.m., followed by the nationally known Wiener Dog Races at 10 a.m. where the speediest dachshunds take to the track. This fundraiser for the Buda Lion’s Club includes a BBQ cook-off, a bake-off, arts & crafts, games for the kids, and lots of entertainment. With so many activities during the 2-day Country Fair, it’s best to click here to view the detailed schedule.
