Mark your calendars for one of our favorite November traditions in Austin! The annual Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade takes place on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019. At this awesome event that promotes the spirit of giving, your kids can bring a gift to local children in need — in support of Operation Blue Santa. This exciting parade will begin at 11 a.m. at the Texas State Capitol and travel down Congress Ave., delighting folks of all ages with giant character balloons, marching bands, vintage cars, dancers, choirs, costumed characters, superheros & princesses, and more.

The Chuy’s Parade provides such a wonderful opportunity for our own children to give back to the community and help other kids who could use their support around the holidays. Coming out to watch the parade is totally free, but each child is asked to bring an unwrapped, new toy to donate to the Operation Blue Santa Program, a non-profit organized by the Austin Police Department that provides families in need with a full holiday meal and Christmas gifts. At a designated time during the Parade Procession, all units will stop to collect the toys. All toys will later be distributed by Operation Blue Santa.

The Parade begins at 11 a.m. and is approximately one hour long. It starts at the State Capitol at 11th and Congress, and moves south on Congress all the way to Cesar Chavez, ending just north of the bridge. Click here for a parade map.
