There is a reason why Creative Action Summer Camps are among the most popular in Austin. Not only are they very fun for ages 5-14, but they are varied in themes from filmmaking to gardening to musical theatre and more with partners such as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Sustainable Food Center to share local expertise and insights. These camps are available at four different Austin locations, so you won’t have to travel far to drop the kids off.

If your kids is more of a “behind the scenes” player or more of an outgoing “center stage” star, there is a place in every camp to nurture their skill and talents. Camps focus on Creative Action’s 4C principles: to be Creative Artists, Courageous Allies, Critical Thinkers, and Confident Leaders.

Summer camps for kids ages 5-10 are held from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday and take place at the following three locations:

  • East – Center for Creative Action 2921 E 17th St Bldg B
  • North Central – First Cumberland Presbyterian, 6800 Woodrow Ave
  • South/West – Eden Park Academy, 6215 Manchaca Rd

(Before care and after care is also available at the above locations for $50.)

Camps for ages 11-14 are offered in The Studio, an environment where teens reflect on their world and experiences through their art, including Maker, Performer, and Visionary tracks. The Studio takes place at: Fleck Hall—St. Edwards University, 3001 S. Congress Ave, Austin TX 78704
