Our recipes begin with attention to taste and process. We make gelato in small batches using organic milk and cream from Organic Valley Coop. The shop sources only the best ingredients, often from local suppliers such as Austin Orchards, Springdale Farm and others. Everything is fresh and our flavors change with the seasons.

Mouth-watering perfection is all about simplicity, dadgummit! That means fresh (never frozen), all-natural beef served on buns baked daily with homemade pickles. Through the years, we’ve made additions to our menu so there’s something for the entire family! Fresh cut fries, Blue Bell shakes, the freshest salads, hand-breaded, gluten free Chicken Flashers (our own version of a chicken nugget) round out the menu. Waterloo Ice House has been an Austin favorite since 1976, when it opened as a casual neighborhood gathering spot serving ice cold beer and hot homemade meals to an eclectic mix of Austinites. Since then, Waterloo has expanded to include four locations around Austin that include full bars, multiple televisions and large playscapes, evolving into a place that provides entertainment for the whole family.
