Get your junior paleontologists ready for the 27th Annual Fossil Fest on Saturday, Nov. 4 & Sunday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Old Settlers Association Meeting Hall (next to the Dell Diamond in Round Rock). Fossil Fest is a fun and educational event for the whole family, and this year’s event spotlight is on dinosaurs!

Fossil Fest activities include:

  • Fossil Identifications (bring your own for help to ID)
  • Meet a Scientist: Opportunity to interact one-on-one with UT scientists, science educators and amateur/avocational paleontologists – hands-on learning & demos and questions & answers
  • “Paleo Passport” educational quest for students
  • Hands-on Fossil Touch Table and Microscope
  • Exhibits: See what fossil collectors find in Texas
  • Fossil collection: Start yours at the Wheel of Fossils & Dig Pit
  • Fossils, minerals, and more for sale
  • Door Prizes

There will be an on-site snack bar serving tacos and donuts for breakfast, along with lunch fare consisting of chili, pizza, snacks and beverages. Prices range from $.50 to $5.00.
