“There’s a land that I see, where the children are free…” When’s the last time you heard this tune? If you were a child in the late 1970’s, you likely know all of the songs on this classic record about childhood and imagination, Free to Be…You and Me by Marlo Thomas and friends. (Remember that one song with Roberta Flack and a young Michael Jackson? And you’ve got to recall how “crying gets the sad out of us”. Memories!)
Local theatre company, TILT Performance Group, is bringing this iconic 70s classic to Austin audiences this November. You can check out their stage performance of Free to Be…You and Me at the Biscuit Brothers Fine Arts Farm November 7 – 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10, and can be purchased online here.
