Working out with a little one is rough. You try to do some stretches at home – they’re crawling all over you. You try to go for a jog with your cute little stroller – they’re a hot, fussy mess. You know how it goes. To ease your transition into having a hot-mom-bod, here are some Austin gyms with childcare.
Life Time Fitness – Life Time members receive two hours of childcare each day per child while they work out. The kids get to do all kinds of fun stuff like and have access to climbing walls, swim lessons and camps. Life Time has two locations in Austin, so pick the North or South center and get in shape! Right now they’re running a $0 joining fee!
24 Hour Fitness – 24 Hour Fitness has a Kid’s Club that you can either pay for monthly or by the hour on top of your membership fees. There is a 2-hour max for childcare, and the cost is $2.50/hr, or you can pay $19.99 a month to use the facility freely (still a 2-hour max per day). Castle Hill Fitness – This gym does not have childcare facilities, BUT, children 17 and under can come for free with their parents. the gym recommends a minimum age of 10 to use the gym, and kids under 14 must be supervised at all times by their parent. Obvs don’t bring in your baby, but this is perfect if you have older kiddos who want to get ripped too. Located on N. Lamar.
Fitness 19 – Fitness 19 has a clean, safe and fun Kids Room designed to give parents peace of mind while they work out. Staffed with caring professionals, the Kids Room will be a safe and entertaining place for your kiddos. Children ages 3 months to 11 years are welcome. Located in Avery Ranch.
Gold’s Gym – Gold’s Gym offers childcare as part of their membership. There are 12 Gold’s Gyms in the Austin area and only one that does not have a childcare facility – the downtown location on W. 6th. Other than that, you’re good.
