Friday:

— Head over to Laura’s Library at 4 p.m. to watch Wallace and Gromit: the Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Free!

— Enjoy a double-feature at  Blue Starlite Drive-in. Ghostbusters and Beetlejuice will play at 8 p.m. with a a special Charlie Brown pre-show. Ticket prices range from $5-15 plus concession options, which you can purchase online here.

— If you’re looking for some really frightening fun, head over to Pioneer Farms from 7-10 p.m. to Search the Haunted Trails. $12 per person.

— Visit the Austin Zoo & Animal Sanctuary afterhours for Boo at the Zoo where everything will be illuminated and decorated for Halloween. Go in costume, ride the Haunted Train and explore the Haunted House. Tickets $12.50 per person, ages 2 and up.

Hawaiian Falls Adventure Park will be hosting a fall festival from 3-9 p.m. Check out a variety of games, family crafts stations, activities, live music, fall food favorites and more. Admission is free! Fees for activities range from $1 and up.

Saturday:

— The Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow is setting up at Torchy’s Tacos South 1st location (at the Trailer Park) on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. for a special Kid’s Halloween Night featuring vintage cartoons. Free admission and free queso if you’re wearing a costume!

— Take the kids to Lakeway City Park for the Great Goblin Glow where hot air balloons will illuminate the night sky from 7-9 p.m. Wear your costumes and enjoy an evening featuring candy, glitter tattoo artists, a juggler, balloon twisters, food trucks and more. Free!

— The Cedar Park Fall Festival at the Twin Lakes YMCA will be happening from 12-9 p.m. Activities include carnival games, free inflatables, slides and moonwalks, a Halloween costume contest at 3, 5 & 7pm. There will also be pony rides, a train ride and free Hay rides. Free shuttle parking is available from the ACC campus at Cypress Creek (1555 Cypress Creek Road). Admission is $10 for each wristband and $1.00 per ticket. For more info on pricing, click here.

— Head over to Octoberama from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. for this annual, family carnival at Mathews Elementary Enjoy live music, games, prizes, food, lots of activities. Admission is free!

Bonus: Day of the Dead Event
— The annual Viva la Vida Festival takes place on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 12-9 p.m. in downtown Austin (Northwest corner of 4th and Congress). This free street festival includes a Grand Parade/Procession, Latino artists and entertainment, and an exhibition and educational programs inside the Museum. You’ll also find traditional foods from local food trucks, hands-on art activities, and artist demos. Free!

Sunday:

Ashley’s Playhouse is hosting a Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 19 from 1-4 p.m. Everyone’s invited to take the kids for face painting, cookie decorating and jumping in the haunted bounce house. Free!

 The Little Gym Lakeline is hosting a Halloween Bash from 3-6 p.m. Costumes are welcome! The first hour of the event will only be open to little ones under 3 (for safe gym play). After that is open to all ages from 4 months to 12 years. Free!

Bunnicula looks like a typical cuddly rabbit, but he’s the spookiest bunny around! Check out this children’s play based on the popular book series, playing at the Scottish Rite Theater at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for children 12 and under, and $12 for ages 13 and up. You can buy them online or at the theater.

— The Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane is hosting a Ghostbusters Quote-Along at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person.
