Seeing the annual Holiday Lights at Mozart’s Coffee Roasters is a tradition that we look forward to every Christmas season. The awesome light displays along with the hot chocolate and warm treats make this a holiday stop that the whole family enjoys.
What’s New This Year?
Like last year, Mozart’s no longer hosts a schedule light “show”, but rather an on-going experience all evening long from 6-11 p.m. daily from November 16 through January 2 (except on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Visitors can expect to be surrounded by more than one million LED lights, some of which have been sculpted into giant iconic objects, custom-made in Greece, such as a dozen guitars, a Disney-like carriage, a giant coffee mug and a tree filled with presents. Plus, this year’s showstopper is a cobalt blue piano that will be played by local pianists throughout the season.
Also new this year, there will be a Bavarian tent in the parking lot to provide warmth and fresh baked goodies such as warm chocolate chip cookies to strudel.
As always, admission is FREE, which is great because you’re going to want to spend a few dollars on the delicious desserts and warm beverages.
We can’t wait to go see this year’s holiday lights! You can be sure we’ll snap some new photos to share with you, but in the meantime, check out the beautiful sights from last year’s spectacle by Roger Ho:
Take note that there is parking in the main storefront lot and street, but spaces fill up very quickly. There is an additional parking lot immediately across Lake Austin Boulevard that you can use for free, and you might consider taking a ride share on a weekend night, or try going during the weekdays when it might be a little less crowded.
Stay tuned to their Facebook page for any updates.
