Mark your calendars & register now… On Saturday, February 27 from noon – 4 p.m., elementary and middle school students are invited to the University of Texas for an afternoon of educational fun during the annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day and the Girl Day STEM Festival. Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (Girl Day) is an international event celebrated during Engineers Week each year. UT’s event is presented by the Women in Engineering Program. The event is free for kindergartners through 8th graders, but you must pre-register to attend.

This event gives elementary and middle school students a chance to:

  • Explore engineering through grade-specific, hands-on engineering activities and engaging demonstrations hosted by volunteers, student organizations, corporate partners and community organizations.
  • Have fun exploring computer science and all of STEM through hands-on STEM activities and engaging demonstrations hosted by volunteers, student organizations, corporate partners and community organizations in the Girl Day STEM Festival.
  • Interact with over 100 organizations and over 900 students, faculty and engineers from industry.
