See the gardens at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center all lit up with thousands of luminarias and twinkle lights at the Luminations events Saturday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15 from 6 – 9 pm. Entry will be FREE with two canned food items!

Celebrate the season with holiday music in the gardens and stay warm with hot chocolate and treats. Kids can get a hug from Frosty the Snowman and make crafts in the visitors gallery. There will be plenty of photo opps with the decorated Christmas trees the lit-up pathways.

Saturday, Dec. 14

  • 6 pm -> Austin Mandolin Orchestra plays in the courtyard
  • 6:30 pm -> Chalumeau Clarinet Quartet plays in the themed gardens
  • 7 pm -> Bailey Middle School Steel Drum Band plays in the courtyard
  • 7:30 pm -> Daisy O’Connor plays in the themed gardens
  • 8 pm -> Eanes High School Choir plays in the courtyard

All Saturday evening:

  • Alan C. Elliott and Stephanie Ford sign Willy the Texas Longhorn, a Santa Tale in the Wildflower Store
  • Sample native Texas Yaupon Tea in the Wildflower Store
  • Lone Star Kettle Corn will be set up on the entrance to the courtyard
  • Decorated trees in the McDermott Learning Center by Mockingbird Domestics, Breed & Co. and others

Sunday, Dec. 15:

  • 6 pm -> Bossamania plays in the courtyard
  • 6:30 pm -> Austin Banjo Club plays in the themed gardens
  • 7 pm -> Outside Voices, a youth choir, plays in the courtyard
  • 7:30 pm -> Flute Mellifluent plays in the themed gardens
  • 8 pm -> The Brass Men play in the courtyard
  • 8:15 pm -> Annie and Kate Band plays in the themed gardens

All Sunday evening:

  • Illustrator, Keith Graves, signs Too Many Frogs
  • Sample native Texas Yaupon Tea in the Wildflower Store
