On Saturday, October 28, the entire community is invited to attend a free Fall Fest from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at El Centro de Familia at Southwest Key Programs. The whole family can enjoy free food, kids activities and an amazing lineup of dance and musical entertainment highlighting cultures from around the world.

The Fall Festival is celebration of Southwest Key‘s 30th anniversary of serving youth and families, helping them achieve their dreams. A national, nonprofit organization, Southwest Key is committed to keeping kids stay out of institutions and home with their families, in their communities. They provide many program for children as well as adult education, community building and workforce development.

The Fall Fest, presented by both Southwest Key and East Austin College Prep, will include an exciting unveiling of Fidencio Duran’s latest mural Following the Sun to Reach the Sky, a wonderful portrayal of life at El Centro de Familia.

In addition, you can watch some very talented local performers throughout the event. Check out the entertainment schedule:

  • 11 a.m.: Da’Shade Moonbeam
  • 11:15 a.m.: Hawaiian Kona Isle
  • 11:40 a.m.: Love of China
  • 12 p.m.: Ballet East Ballet Folklorico
  • 12:15 p.m.: Da’Mon Stith of Guild of the Silent Sword
  • 12:30 p.m.: Texas Dragon Lion Dance Team

Kids are also invited to wear their Halloween costumes, too!
