Get ready to show off your pumpkin-carving skills! The UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum’s annual fall event, the Last Straw Fest, will take place on Sunday, October 29 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. where you can join in on tons of free family fun, including their famous pumpkin carving competition, as well as games, crafts, music and more.

Kids can get creative with their carving skills! Pumpkins available free of charge!

What’s Happening at the Last Straw Fest?
Throughout the afternoon, you’ll be able to enjoy fall family activities, music from DJ Gatsby, the chance to check out an array of amazing scarecrow sculptures on display, as well as the following:

  • Pumpkin Carving
  • Fall Themed Photo Booth
  • Straw Art 
  • Corn Painting 
  • Coloring Sheets
  • Face Painting
  • Trick-or-Treating around the Garden at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 3 p.m.

  • Giant Jenga
  • Cornhole
  • Donut Bobbing
  • Pick a Duck
  • Pumpkin Ring Toss
  • Pumpkin Tic-Tac-Toe

–> Food Trucks & Concessions:

  • Emoji’s Grilled Cheese
  • La Sirena – La Fantabulous Taqueria
  • Casey’s New Orleans Snowballs
  • Gold Start Kettle Corn
