Marchesa Hall & Theatre
Check out this bazaar for handmade items by more than 130 local and regional artists that are selected through a rigorous jury process. You can expect to find: paintings, photography, prints, sculptures, jewelry, clothing, accessories, glassworks, ceramics, and more you can’t find anywhere else. The bazaar is a fun and family-friendly event where strollers are welcome, but the aisles may be crowded during high traffic times. FREE admission & parking! German Free School of Austin
The German-Texan Heritage Society offers shoppers hand-made, imported crafts including plenty of Christmas themed decorations such as nutcrackers and ornaments. It is a festival atmosphere with traditional German Christmas music, tables full of handcrafted items direct from the Erzgebirge region of Germany, a visit by both the historic American Santa Claus and the traditional German Sankt Nikolas with gifts for the children, a hospitality serving of Glühwein (hot spiced wine), coffee, apple cider/juice and gingerbread cookies and plenty of German style baked goodies for purchase. This annual event is a one-stop holiday shopping experience boasting some of the best art and handmade gifts Austin has to offer in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with live music and good food. This show is actually two events in one: an art fair and music festival. Visitors can explore an amazing array of hand-made items from 160+ artists while enjoying live local music and slips from a from a full bar. It all adds up to a fun authentic Austin experience. While local artists predominate, there are a select few carefully chosen from around the country. The Armadillo stage showcases some of Austin’s most popular musical talent, with live, intimate performances throughout the afternoon and evening. Admission is $7 for a single day pass.
