Weirdos, get ready to celebrate your weird and revel in everyone else’s because it’s time for the Keep Austin Weird Fest & 5K, happening Saturday, June 28 at the Long Center. The fest will start at 2 pm and the 5K is set for 7 pm.
Get dressed up in your weirdest costume and make your way to the fest for live music, uniquely Austin crafts, vendor booths and food trailer favorites.
Music Schedule:
- 2 pm -> Hector Ward & the Big Time
- 3:10 pm -> KP & the Boom Boom
- 4:30 pm -> T Bird & the Breaks
- 5:50 pm -> Uncle Lucius
- 7:10 pm -> Riders Against the Storm
- 8:40 pm -> Twin Forks
Festival only passes are $20 for adults and free for kids 12 and under with a donation of three items to the Capital Area Food Bank. You can buy your tickets here or at the gate.
The 5K is the “slowest 5K on the planet” so no worries if you’re half tipsy and dressed in crazy garb. This is meant to be weird and fun, with 10 outrageous Fun Stops sponsored by local businesses along the way.
The 5K registration costs $35 for adults and includes a Keep Austin Weird 5K T-Shirt. The 5K for kids 12 and under costs $20 and you can buy your registrations here.
