More About City of Austin Seasonal Pools
The City of Austin has 29 seasonal pools for swimming.  Check here for operating hours and here to register for swimming lessons (for ages six months to adult).  Teens 15 and older can sign up to be lifeguards for the city for $20/hr, and they’ll receive lifeguard certification after being hired.  You can get more info here.

Year-Round Pools
Warm Texas weather means you can cool off for a dip almost any time of year, and we love that the City of Austin operates five year-round pools.  Schedules do change depending on lifeguard availability (when they’re in school versus off for summer and available to lifeguard), so you’ll want to check the City of Austin website before you head out for the latest info about open hours for each. Entry fees for 2023 are listed here.
