Featured Family Restaurant of the Week: Smoke ‘N Hops

If you’re hankering for a patio with a killer view, craft brews and smoky BBQ, head to Smoke ‘N Hops in Dripping Springs to satisfy that craving. We loved it so much, we decided to make it our Featured Family Restaurant of the Week!

Editor, Jamie Jett, got so ridiculously full at Smoke ‘N Hops on Saturday. Here are her thoughts about the experience…

Smoke ‘N Hops was right off Hwy 290, about 20 minutes outside of town. The layout is open with a friendly bar in the back, stocked with TVs so you can watch your game. They have the NFL Ticket so you can catch just about any game of your choosing. We went on Saturday when the weather was primo and they had their garage doors open so the whole restaurant was exposed to the fresh air and the patio. We grabbed a table on the deck, that faces the playground and has an AMAZING view of the Hill Country to the left. (The view is not pictured… you’ll just have to see it for yourself.)

We started off with some brisket queso and brisket jalapeno poppers because we’re health nuts. We washed it down with an IPA that was brewed by the fine people of Smoke ‘N Hops. All of this was delicious and satisfying Saturday grub. Queso was approved by the little man, who flew in from the playground every minute or so to grab a few bites.

For our entrees, I chose the pulled pork sandwich with a side of slaw, little man got nuggets and mac n’ cheese (he’s so unpredictable), and big dude got the sausage sandwich. We all ate all of it.

And then we got dessert…

… a caramel cheesecake dessert to be exact. It was YUM, despite the fact that dirty hands were all up in it.

The best part was the bill, which is weird to say. Hear me out. We had two appetizers, two craft beers, three entrees and a dessert – all for just under $50. That’s pretty amazing. That, paired with the fact that the little man declared this playscape his favorite means that we will be going back.

They have a kid’s show every Sunday from 1 – 3 pm with Mr. Tommy, a music teacher, who gets the kids rocking out and playing instruments on the playground. FUN!

They also have live music Wednesday – Saturday from 7 – 10 pm. Click here for the October schedule.

We have a $25 gift card to give one lucky person so you and your family can head out for a great dining experience.

This giveaway is now closed, thanks to everyone who entered!
