Summer is wrapping up, folks. We have two full weeks left before it’s back to rushed mornings, homework, extracurricular activities and sack lunches. It’s back to school time! Which also means it’s time for back to school clothes! Austin has a lot to offer when it comes to first-day duds, so we’ve compiled a list of our favorite places to go Back to School Shopping in Austin, from high-end, to thrift, and everything in between.

Millie & Mox is a children’s boutique that carries brands from France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Australia, the United States and yes, from here in Austin. The store also carries toys and books for ages 0 – 12 and holds regular free events to keep the store lively and the kids entertained. There’s Itty Bitty Playtime & Yoga every Wednesday, Awesome Animal Mornings on select Saturdays, and Fun Fridays where children’s artists perform in the mornings.
The clothes are some of the most adorable and eclectic that you will find, and there isn’t a better variety of cute shoes in the area.
Another huge plus for Millie & Mox is the beautiful treehouse that is inside the store. Kids are welcome to play in the treehouse while you shop, making the store a pleasant experience you and the kids. There is also a sitting room in the restroom if you are a nursing mother.
Millie & Mox has recently expanded and added their new Schoolhouse store where you can find supplies, lunch boxes, backpacks and other necessities next door to the boutique.
