It’s Back to School time, and while you’re running around trying to get everything taken care of for the littles in your life, it’s oh-so-easy to forget about yourself. Well, we didn’t forget about you! Do512 Family and Waterstone Salon are giving you a chance to get your hair did, for free!

Full disclosure: I’ve only been to an actual salon once in the past five or so years. I normally have friends cut my hair at my house, and I’ve even CUT MY OWN HAIR, much to the chagrin of… my head. So, not only was this salon visit a want, it had definitely developed into a need.

Something that Waterstone Salon has that other salons don’t, is an on-site babysitter, making this the perfect destination for busy parents to get their hairs cut.

Babysitting is $5/hour for up to three kids (depending on the ages). There are plenty of toys to keep the kids occupied and they can even relax on the couch and watch a movie. There are books, a play kitchen and room to crawl/walk around.

My stylist was Tierney and she was awesome! I brought a couple of pictures with me (which she liked) because – news flash – stylists can’t read our minds. If you’re getting a completely new do, bring a pic or two. I saved a couple on my phone, showed her what I was trying to say and we were good to go. We also talked about color, which I haven’t done in probably 10 years. Tierney examined my roots and all over color and we decided on a shade that was in between.

For my cut, I wanted bangs and I wanted to lose a lot of hair but keep it long at the same time. Tall order, I know. Tierney knew exactly what I meant and added some layers. I am pleased with the results 🙂

Check out those bangs!

Tierney also told me that teenage boys make up a lot of her regular clients. She cuts cool hair! It’s hard for guys to find someone they like, so if you have a picky teen on your hands, give her a try.

Waterstone Salon would like to give one of our readers a free cut and color, all you need to do is enter a valid email address for your chance to win! We’ll pick our winner on Monday, Aug. 18. Good luck!

Also in honor of Back to School, the salon is offering $10 off haircuts for students and teachers until Aug. 15. Make your appointment today!

*This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to our winner and thanks to everyone who entered.

  1. Totally need color and a new doo. My son is getting married and due to a horrible broken leg I will be at the wedding in an orthopedic boot and a nasty limp 🙁 I need a beauty boost. Please.
