— Head over to Safari Champ indoor play center in Round Rock for a special morning featuring Tiny Tales to You Petting Zoo. Enjoy storytime, snuggles with cute animals and other animal-themed fun at 10:30 a.m. Admission is $12 per child for ages 2 years & up or $9 per child 12-23 months. — See monster trucks and motocross compete in the wheelie, racing and freestyle competitions at the Toughest Monster Truck Tour at Cedar Park Center. The action starts at 5:30 p.m. with a pit party, and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. General adult tickets are $25.75, and child tickets are $12, which you can buy online here.

— Take the kids to see a free screening of The Goonies at Robin Bledsoe Park. Movies begin at dusk. You can bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic (no glass). Concessions are also available, and friendly pets are welcome on a leash.

— Get ready for the school year at the big Back to School Bash Celebration and Safety Fair at Palmer Event Center from 9 a.m. – noon. More than 130 organizations will offer exhibits for AISD families to learn more about available services and programs. Austin ISD students in attendance can receive a free backpack filled with school supplies, while supplies last. Free event!

— Search for bargains at Rockin’ Dudz Consignment Sale from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Frank Fickett Scout Training Center. Shop for gently-used clothing and shoes, toys, books, baby gear, maternity, junior clothing and much more! No entry fees or parking fees. (Sale also takes place tomorrow from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)

— Enjoy an obstacle course, crafts, demos, a photo booth, DJ andmore activities for kids of all ages at the Back to School Fest at the Browning Hangar at Mueller from 10 a.m. – noon. Kids can get school supplies and participate in a community-wide book swap. (Bring a gently used book to take a gently used book.) Free event!

— Want to see a version of The Wizard of Oz performed by rescue dogs and a scarlet macaw? Circus Chickendog will be appearing in The Wizard of Dogz at the Dougherty Arts Center today at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased online here. — The Austin Summer Musical for Children presents Junie B. Jones the Musical with free shows today at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Boyd Vance Theater at the Carver Museum. — Hear ye! Hear ye! Direct from Sherwood Forest Faire, Robin Hood and his merry band of outlaws will be stirring up mischief again at the Austin Scottish Rite Theater in the family show, Robin Hood vs. the Potter. Showtimes today are at 12:30 p.m. & 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for children under 12, $12 for ages 12 & up, and free for children under 2. You can get your tickets online here.

— Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy a free show at 7:30 p.m. in front of the Long Center City Terrace. Austin Symphony Orchestra is presenting a brass concert as part of their summer series.
