Dinosaur Park invites families out to their “Roar-some” 10th Anniversary Party on Saturday, September 26 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Located in Cedar Creek, TX between Austin and Bastrop, the Dinosaur Park is an awesome destination for dino-lovers of all ages! Situated in a woodsy nature trail, you’ll find GIANT dino replicas among the trees, plants and rocks, making it easy to imagine real dinosaurs in a natural environment.

–> Party Activities & Admission: Regular admission applies to attend the party ($7 per person, and free for children under 24 months), but there will be lots of additional fun for the whole family at no additional cost, including tattoos, cookies, cake, balloons, and the following exhibitors:

  • A variety of live lizard, snakes, and turtles will be on exhibit from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. by Austin Reptile Service.
  • Bastrop Parks Department will be on-site all day to help children make free birdhouses and rain sticks.
  • Moby Dick’s Fishing Pond is hosting a mock fishing pond where kids can win prizes!
  • Take your picture with a Jurassic Park Jeep from 10 a.m. -4 p.m., sponsored by Benny Boyd Bastrop.
  • Caution!! Raptors will roam around The Park grounds and a T-Rex ride will be available from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., courtesy of Party With Dinos!
  • Bastrop County’s Tourism Mascot “Mighty Friendly” The giant rocking horse will be at The Park for a great photo-opp.

–> What to Know Before You Go: The Dinosaur Park website offers these tips to help you plan your visit:

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes (instead of sandals or high heel shoes), the gravel trail is half-a-mile long.
  • Wear sunscreen, hat, and/or insect repellent if desired.
  • Customers are welcome to bring food and drinks. Glass containers and alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
  • Picnic areas are available on a first-come/first-served basis.
  • The Dinosaur Park is a smoke-free environment.  Smoking is prohibited throughout The Park, and is allowed only in the parking lot.
  • Parking is free.
