Get ready for a big, crazy pizza party on Saturday, Nov. 14 from noon – 7 p.m. It’s time for the 10th Annual Carnival O’ Pizza at Home Slice. Kids of all ages will have a fun time with carnival-inspired games, music, dancing, photo booths, raffles, contests and more!
The Carnival O’ Pizza is a fun, family-friendly annual celebration of Home Slice’s love for all things pizza. It’s held each year in conjunction with the restaurant’s anniversary while also serving as a special thank you to customers, fans, friends, and neighbors. The event is free and open to all.
This year’s carnival will take place in the Home Slice patio and parking lot, and is co-sponsored by Austin companies Capital Metro and RetailMeNot. All proceeds benefit this year’s non-profit recipient: Austin Bat Cave!
— What to Expect at the Carnival O’ Pizza:
- Carnival-style games
- kid-themed menu offerings including our own invention: Pee Wee Pizzaioli
- A huge raffle featuring amazing prizes from business all over South Congress and Austin
- Entertainment including music, fortune tellers, dancers, mustache painting & hair styling
- Concessions including beer, Italian wines, beverages and of course pizza!
- Infamous contests including dough tossing, a pizza eating contest and hands on an eggplant sub in which contestants vie to be the last person standing with their hand on 3 feet of sandwich for free pizza for a year.(In 2010 the contest went on for an incredible 63 hours!)
