Get your junior paleontologists ready for the 25th Annual Fossil Fest on Saturday, Nov. 14 & Sunday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Old Settlers Association Meeting Hall (next to the Dell Diamond in Round Rock). Fossil Fest is a fun and educational event for the whole family!

Activities include:

  • Show Spotlight: Monster Marine Reptiles!
  • Guest Speaker: “Fossils Talk – Hear their Stories”
  • Opportunity to interact one-on-one with a UT scientist, educators & Paleo Society members
  • Hands-on learning and fossil identification
  • Mini-workshops: Learn how plants & animals fossilize and create a craft to take home
  • “Paleo Passport”: educational quest to fully explore displays, exhibits and activities
  • Fossil Touch Table and Microscope
  • Educational Exhibits: See what amateur fossil collectors find in Texas
  • Start your own fossil collection at the Wheel of Fossils & Fossil Dig Pit
  • Door Prizes
  • On Saturday from 2 – 4 p.m. you can see a demo of a robotic arm from Makerarm and hear about the merits of 3D scan and print models for paleontology research.
