With all of the cool events that take place during South By Southwest, we think Austin families deserve a kid friendly music party tailored just for you! Join us at our 2nd Annual Do512 Family Picnic, presented by Howdy Honda, on Tuesday, March 15 from 2-7 p.m. at The Midway Food Park!
You’re going to love the great line-up of music, food trucks, face painting, magic show, free parking, and plenty of room for the kids to run around and play! Plus, it’s FREE with RSVP.
–> Location: Midway Food Park offers several local food trucks in a park-like setting in South Austin with picnic tables, a playscape, restrooms and free parking. And it’s BYOB!
—> Activities: Kids can enjoy a magic show, face painting, and special art activities with Creative Action. All free!
—> Entertainment Schedule: A magic show starts the day, and then a mix of bands take the stage that parents will enjoy (and will also give the kids a chance to show off their awesome dance moves).
- 2 – 2:40 p.m. – Magic Show w/ Magician Black Bert
- 3 – 3:40 p.m. – Mayeux & Broussard
- 4 – 4:40 p.m. – Kev Bev & the Woodland Creatures
- 5 – 5:40 p.m. – Buyepongo
- 6 – 7 p.m. – Hard Proof
- Plus folk songs & puppets w/ Portland’s Red Yarn throughout the day
—> What to Bring: Bring the kids & bring your friends! Bring blankets to spread out, too. The Midway is BYOB, and you are welcome to bring one cooler for adult beverages and water. (Do consider cans instead of glass.) But other than that, no other food or drink is allowed into the park because all of these great food trucks will be there for you to choose from:
