AISD Back to School Bash 2016

Time to think about heading back to school already? It’s true! While we still have a few more weeks of summer, it’s time to start preparing for that return to the classroom. Austin ISD and the City of Austin are here to help us get ready for the new school year. They’re hosting the annual Back to School Bash & Safety Fair on Saturday, August 6 from 9 a.m. – noon at the Palmer Events Center.  This free event is for all ages, and you’ll be able to get all the info you could ever want about AISD programs and community services, as well as free immunizations, free backpacks & school supplies (while they last), and even door prizes!

20690592039_d8ab19e3fe_kNurses from Dell Children’s/AISD Health Services will provide free vaccinations (families must present student shot records), and Kids Vision for Life Central Texas may be providing free vision exams and eyeglasses.

Austin ISD students must be present to receive a free backpack filled with school supplies, while supplies last. (Arrive early!)
