— Calling all Pink Ladies & T-Birds, plan on meeting family to Pfluger Park for a Grease Sing-Along that kicks off with a costume contest at 7:30 p.m. and the movie screening at 8:30 p.m. Bring your friends, family, and a picnic. Free!
— It’s the last weekend to be wowed by the talented cast of Mary Poppins at ZACH Theatre! You can see this fun, family-friendly musical tonight at 7:30 p.m. (with shows through Sunday). — Check out the 2016 Big Bird Air Show at 10:30 a.m. at the Austin Radio Control Association’s field where you’ll see giant scale airplanes such as warbirds, biplanes, aerobatic planes, civilian planes and massive scale multi-engine bombers. Free admission, free parking.
— Hang out with other Pokemon enthusiasts and trade cards, battle on your Nintendo DS system, just talk about your favorite Pokemon swap battle tips! The Pokemon Saturday Morning Breakfast Club is a casual gathering in Tribe Comics & Games from 10:30 a.m. – noon. You can bring your own breakfast (there’s a Torchy’s tacos three doors down) or you can buy drinks and snacks in the store. This event is open to any Pokemon fan. Free.
— The Paramount Theatre presents King Kong (1933 version) as part of their Family Film Festival series. See this classic, unforgettable sci-fi fantasy at 12:30 p.m. today. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for ages 12 & under. You can purchase tickets online here.
— Enjoy free exhibit admission at the Bullock Museum during H-E-B Free First Sundays. From 12 – 5 p.m., you can explore the “Story of Texas” through three floors of exhibitions that showcase artifacts from around the state.
— Have a Sunday Funday at the Neill-Cochran House and Museum. You can make a Pinhole Camera and see what it was like to take a photograph like someone from the 19th- or early 20th-century. Free admission to the museum and free activities.
— Take in some end-of-summer fun at Cedar Park’s annual Splash Jam at Elizabeth Milburn Park. This annual back to school bash will feature activities that begin at 5 p.m., including live music, face painting, hamster balls, carnival rides and games (for small fees) and free inflatables.
